Frankenstein - The Greatest Horror Novel Ever Written?

Written in early part of the 19th century by Mary Shelley this book in my humble opinion is the greatest horror novel ever written. I recently re read the book and the other great gothic novel of the time "Dracula", i can honestly say Bram Stokers story doesn't compare. Based on a dream that Shelley had while stopping at the Villa Diodati on the shores of Lake Geneva in Switzerland, the story really is a nightmarish vision especially for the time in which it is written. Frankensteins creature must be one of the all time iconic images of popular fiction featuring in movies, comic books and other novels as well as cartoons and even as a PEZ dispenser, read it its awesome.
